This course provides hands-on and virtual organic chemistry lab experiments designed specifically for distance learners. In this course, students will gain competencies in organic chemistry modeling, synthesis, and physical and spectroscopic characterization of molecules. 

Through hands-on and virtual experimentation, students will execute the building of molecules by using molecular models, prepare new compounds by using starting material chemicals provided in a chemical lab kit, and characterize the physical and structural properties using physical equipment from lab kits and virtual characterization techniques. Through experimentation, students will record observations and make conclusions based on experimental results.
