The Employee Recognition Committee has five members. Each member has equal voting rights. At least two of the members of the committee must be faculty and two must be staff and one must be a member of the Leadership Development Advisory Committee. There must be at least one committee member from the Crete campus and at least one committee member from the Lincoln campus. Committee members must serve a minimum of a two year term and can serve maximum of a 4 year term.

On an annual basis committee members review all nominations received from the year and choose recipients for each annual award based on the defined criteria.


The Committee will consider the significance and long-term impacts each entry has on:

  • People
  • Environment (the natural environment and communities we live and work in)
  • Time and Productivity (creating efficiencies)
  • Lasting value
  • Finances
