Falling in love. One of Doane's oldest traditions.

It started in 1873 with President David Brainerd Perry and Helen Doane. Their love was chronicled in old, archived diaries. And so Doane's oldest tradition began.

We love hearing stories of our alumni who met their significant other at Doane! In honor of Valentine's Day, we will feature alumni love stories across our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). Please submit your contact information, Doane Sweetheart story, and high-quality photos below to be featured this February 14th. (Submissions are requested and due by Tuesday, February 6th.)

Photos may include pictures of you and your sweetheart from your time at Doane, a wedding picture, a family photo, etc. Email alumni@doane.edu to submit more than two pictures. We do not guarantee usage of all submitted photos, as discretion will be used in regard to image quality, content, and formatting restrictions.
