Bio: Roxana Josefina Gómez Sardina; Plant Worker (Crete, NE); From Havana, Cuba
Summary: Roxana Gómez moved to the United States as a young adult. Upon making the dangerous journey by boat to arrive in Florida, she and her husband worked and earned a living to be able to send back money to their families. Eventually, they sent for her mother to accompany them in Crete, Nebraska. Roxana is taking classes to learn English and is proud of her U.S. citizenship and her education earned here in the United States.

Resumen: De joven, Roxana Gómez se mudó a los Estados Unidos. Al hacer la travesía peligrosa por barco para llegar a Florida, ella y su esposo trabajó y se ganaron la vida para poder mandarles dinero a sus familias en Cuba. Eventualmente, mandaron que la madre de Roxana los acompañara en Crete, Nebraska.
