Psi Chi

Psi Chi is the national honor society in psychology. It was founded in 1929 for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and is oriented toward those students who are interested in advancing the field of psychology. In order to be eligible for PSI CHI, a student: 1) must have completed three semesters of coursework, 2) must have completed nine semester hours of psychology, 3) must have declared psychology as either a major or a minor, 4) must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and rank in the upper 35% of their class, 5) must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in psychology courses, and 6) must have high standards of personal behavior.
