Welcome to Doane University!

Academic Advising is such a positive and nurturing partnership between students and their faculty advisor and peers. Rhonda Lake is the academic advisor for all first-year students. In addition, new students will be assigned a faculty advisor who also doubles as their LAR professor in the first-year seminar course.

Incoming students will have a peer assistant to help them plan their road to success and answer any questions. At Doane University, faculty, peers and staff are committed to the total well being and academic success of all students.

Rhonda Lake and the first-year academic advising office is conveniently located in the Perry Campus Center next to the Grill and Service Bureau. Students can drop in anytime during the day, or schedule a zoom appointment through rhonda.lake@doane.edu. 

Rhonda is a member of NACADA, an international community of advisors. Nacada promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education.
