Economics provides a logical, ordered way of looking at various problems and issues. Economics looks at history, philosophy, and mathematics so students can examine the kinds of choices people and groups need to meet varied and limitless wants, with scarce resources.

Students of Doane University’s Economics program are prepared for a variety of careers in business and government, through an emphasis on international economics and financial markets. This field is appropriate for students interested in graduate work in business, law, and economics.
