This program develops graduates to become leaders in the community by focusing on ethics, communication, problem-solving, decision making, leadership, and critical thinking skills.

Market Research Analyst

Management Analysts

Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.

Production Managers

Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products per cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints. Direct or coordinate production, processing, distribution, or marketing activities of industrial organizations. Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing the production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to identify problems.

Human Resources Specialists

Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software. Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations. Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.

Compensation and Benefits Managers

Median Pay: $121,010
Job Outlook = +5% from 2016 - 2026
Conduct programs of compensation and benefits and job analysis for employer. Evaluate job positions, determining the classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary. Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements. Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales.

Requirements for the Business Administration Major:

Crete campus students complete 12 additional credits of 300/400-level Electives

These electives must be Business or Economics courses with at least 3 of those credits at the BUS 400 level (excluding BUS 421 and all 400-level ECO prefixed courses).


Only two 300-level Economics courses may be used toward the 12 additional credits required for the Business Administration major.

Lincoln/Grand Island/Omaha/Online students complete one emphasis chosen from the following:

College of Business Residency Requirement

These courses must be completed through the College of Business at Doane University.
Six business credits

No more than 48 credits of BUS courses may apply toward graduation.
