Service Bureau Hours and Staffing Effective 3/30

Dear Crete Faculty and Staff,

Starting Monday, March 30th, 2020, the Service Bureau will be shifting to our new hours and implementing new practices. Please take a minute to read the following message.

Hours

Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 1:00p.m.

Jackie Sears will be here to receive USPS, FedEx and UPS (delivery services). We will notify the above delivery services of our time changes.

  • Departments are responsible for picking up their mail.
  • The doors will be locked.
  • You will need to ring the doorbell at the delivery door (Same doors used at Christmas).
  • ALL DEPARTMENTS MUST LABEL THEIR OUTGOING MAIL so we know which department to charge. Please use a sticky note, a stamp, or write the department name in the return address.
  • We will have your mail ready for pick up by 10:30a.
  • Department Reps will exchange outgoing mail with incoming mail. (see list below)
  • Department Rep will distribute mail to appropriate staff or follow plans of that department (scanning to email, bundling and mailing to home address and so on).

Students, Faculty and Staff - if you have a keyed mailbox on campus, by the Service Bureau, you can access that box 24/7 in the Perry Campus Center.

Packages

We ask that at this time you please stop any personal ordering to be delivered to the Service Bureau. Please send those items to your homes. Only work related orders at this time due to limited personnel and hours.

Since Doane has gone to online services, print requests have drastically dropped. We ask that you continue to send what you can via email and social media. If there is a print job needed please continue to send to sbprint@doane.edu; please be patient with us as mail will be our first priority.

The Service Bureau will remain open until Doane’s Leadership Team informs us that we need to close. At that point we will stop collecting, processing and distributing mail.
