  • Drop-in Hours

    As you are preparing for the Autumn and Fall terms, Online Education Services will be holding daily drop-in office hours on Zoom, through August 28, 2020.

    Office hours will be held Monday through Friday from 9:00-10:00 am, and 3:30-4:30 pm on Zoom. Check our calendar for any possible cancellations or changes in times.

    Faculty Kick-Off Week: Canvas Session 1 Monday, August 10, 2020 11:00 am This session covers Canvas basics like logging in, finding courses, communicating with students, uploading your syllabus, and how to get help.
    Faculty Kick-Off Week: Canvas Session 2 Tuesday, August 11, 2020 1:00 pm  This session covers content creation and management in Canvas, like Files, Pages, Announcements, Assignments and Discussions. Includes a focus on creating accessible content in Canvas.
    Faculty Kick-Off Week: Canvas Session 3 Wednesday, August 12, 2020 3:30 pm This session is focused on content organization, rapid building strategies and creating a course flow for your students by using Modules and Module Controls.

    You can locate additional information and resources in the Growing With Canvas course. All faculty should be automatically enrolled in this course. You can use this course as a reference, or work through the content and earn badges. 

    You can find our full calendar of events by opening your Doane Google Calendar and entering IDS Doane University in the "Meet With" search box. 

    You can request one-on-one help from an instructional designer by submitting a ticket to the Tiger Tech Help Desk. Use the "Blackboard Issue" option (at least until it changes to "Canvas Issue") and indicate that you'd like to set up a one-on-one appointment.
